
Sohail R. Bhojani

Mr. Sohail Bhojani is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). He is member of CPA Australia and is also accredited by the Institute of Public Accountants Australia (IPA). He is an alumnus of the London Metropolitan University, UK, where he studied Accounting & Finance, and Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires (INSEAD), Fontainebleau, France, where he attended executive development programmes. He is also a Certified Director.
Mr. Bhojani has over 29 years of global post-qualification experience, mostly in commercial and finance leadership roles with responsibility for delivering strategy, top-line growth and profit, nurturing organisational capability and implementing business performance management and corporate governance frameworks. He has previously served as IIL’s Chief Financial Officer for 3 years, coming to the IIL family skilled at business management, financial planning & analysis, audit, financial control and IT project management. He has substantial experience spanning diverse sectors including industrial manufacturing, retail & private banking, FMCG marketing, life sciences, management consultancy and audit & assurance acquired at blue chip corporates including Akzo Nobel, Barclays Bank, United Bank, ICI, BDO Global and PKF Littlejohn UK.
Sohail has been instrumental in getting IIL Australia Pty Limited, IIL’s first international venture headquartered in Melbourne, off the ground. As a Director and the Chief Executive of our subsidiary for 11 years, his stewardship has been pivotal in building the IIL brand as a leading supplier in the Australian market, the Company winning the prestigious Casey Award for Best Business, achieving the Australian Trusted Trader (ATT) status for the organization and turning the Oceania region into IIL’s top export destination.
Sohail assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at International Industries Limited (IIL) in 2021, leading the organization through a period marked by macroeconomic uncertainty and internal transformation. Under his leadership, IIL maintained resilience and sustained profitability while implementing a major reorganization across Sales & Distribution, Engineering Solutions, and Corporate Communications. His strategic foresight enabled the Company to navigate challenges effectively and position itself for long-term success.
Key achievements during his tenure included the commissioning of a 4-megawatt solar energy project, underscoring IIL’s commitment to sustainability and renewable energy. Furthermore, the launch of IIL’s Global Trading Division under his direction expanded the company’s portfolio and marked a significant step in its strategic diversification.
After three years as CEO in Pakistan, Sohail returned to Australia in October 2024 to reassume the role of Chief Executive Officer of IIL Australia Pty Limited (IILA), continuing his commitment to strengthening IIL’s presence and growth in the Oceania region, activating diversification strategies and playing an active role in the growth of the Group’s global business.
